The Southern Open Vineyards Weekend, happening from March 1st to 3rd, 2024, is a self-guided tour across Tasmania's premier wine regions, including the Derwent Valley, Coal River Valley, Huon Valley/D'Entrecasteaux Channel, South East, and Hobart City.

 

This event offers a unique opportunity to explore Tasmania's rich viticulture, meet renowned winemakers, and enjoy a weekend filled with exquisite wine, delicious food, and live music. It encourages attendees to plan their journey, offering maps and information on participating wineries for a comprehensive wine-tasting experience​

The Willie Smith Mid Winter Festival is a unique event held in Tasmania, centered around celebrating the region's apple heritage and drawing on pagan traditions from the cider-producing regions of south-west England. The festival is known for its vibrant celebration that includes fire, feasting, and hot cider, making it a significant cultural event in the heart of winter.

For the year 2024, the festival will take place on Friday, 12th July (5pm-11pm) and Saturday, 13th July (12pm-11pm) at Willie Smith's Apple Shed in the Huon Valley, 2064 Huon Hwy Grove, Tasmania. This edition of the festival is announced to be the final one, emphasizing the importance of attending for those who wish to experience this unique celebration for the last time.

In 2024, Beaker Street Festival will have a focal weekend of events from August 9 to 11, 2024.

 

The immersive program will be centred in southern Tasmania, with a Festival precinct spanning out from the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in Hobart.
